Step-By-Step Images and Instructions
1.
Start with a black pen, and draw a large "J" shape in the center of your page. Add a small dot level with the top of this line, and with the bottom curve of the "J".
2.
Next, take a thinner black pen, and add a curved line heading in, up, and back out, ending level with the top of the original line.
3.
Add an "L" shape to the top of this, with the tail of the L longer than the stem. Add an oval shape to the top of this, but keep the line dashed, rather than connected and solid.
4.
Grab a black pen, and go over the lines at the top right hand side of the shape.
5.
Use a black liner, and turn the dashed lines at the front of the oval into crenellations, to form the top of the tower.
6.
Add short lines immediately above the gaps in the section you just drew…
7.
Add crenellations to the back of the oval, and repeat the addition of the short lines to give your tower a "3D" look.
8.
Make a series of short marks just below the back curve, to create another dashed line.
9.
Next, add an archway to the front of the tower, and follow this with another, parallel line around the top. Add short lines all around the edge of this to show the brickwork.
10.
Add a few small rectangle shapes around the bottom of the tower, to create the brickwork and add detail.
11.
Now, fill in the bottom right-hand corner of the tower with more brickwork detailing…
12.
And add a vertical line down the center of the doorway, and then two horizontal lines across this vertical line. Go over these to make them a little thicker.
13.
Add another small arch just below the top of the tower. Fill this in with the black, and go back to repeat the shape to create an outline. Make small lines all around this for detailing.
14.
Then, add some more bricks and details to the top of the tower, and the space all around the windows.
15.
Repeat the brickwork pattern all around the top of the tower…
16.
And fill in the center of the circle with a brown pen.
17.
Take a black liner, and add more vertical lines in the doorway, creating a wooden effect on the door.
18.
Use a yellow pencil to fill in the rest of the door…
19.
And then use a brown pen to draw a line down the right-hand side of the tower, around halfway across the right-hand side.
20.
Use the brown pen to fill in the section on the right-hand side of the tower.
21.
Next, use a brown pencil to add another strip of color just inside the first.
22.
Use a brown pen to add some color to the right-hand edge of the crenellations.
23.
Use the brown pencil to add another square of color beside this first one…
24.
And take a pale orange pencil to gently shade in the rest of the tower.
25.
Use an orange pencil to go over the lighter shades, adding different tones to the drawing…
26.
Before taking a gray pencil and adding a circular shape around the base.
27.
Finally, use the gray to shade in this circle, creating a shadow effect.
Voila! You are the proud owner of your very own castle tower – now, your job is to decide who is hiding inside waiting to be rescued… or defeated!
